Info

When many international beauty brands reduced their presence in Russia in 20222023, they left a visible gap particularly in the mid-to-low price segment. Parli, a Kazan-based cosmetics manufacturer, saw this as an opportunity: to launch a sub-brand for the audience left without their usual products. The brief was simple and hard at the same time: mass-market price point, but a brand that doesn't look or feel like mass-market.

МИЯ is three letters in Cyrillic. Short enough for an app icon, soft enough to feel like skincare, and smart enough to carry a hidden message. МИ reads as the English ME; Я means I in Russian a bilingual double self-reference that requires no explanation to anyone who grew up switching between languages. The logotype transforms three familiar letters into something geometric and contemporary abstract at first glance, recognizable on second.

Every production decision was made with a small manufacturer's constraints in mind. The line ships without outer boxes, reducing logistics volume and letting the brand invest more in the actual formula. Each product gets its own solid color the entire container, not just a label because on a crowded drugstore shelf, a single bold color reads faster than any label design. The palette avoids fluorescent tones that look beautiful in renders but are notoriously difficult to match across matte plastic, glass, and foil.

The stacked repeating МИЯ motif used in OOH and campaign materials is not decoration it's a media system. One asset that works as a billboard, a bus shelter, a social story, and a window display simultaneously. For a young brand with a limited budget, that kind of efficiency isn't a creative choice. It keeps the system practical, recognizable, and easy to scale.
